Over Run With Guppies

hi everyone a bit new to this site but here goes. i love guppies so got a few to start with in my 2ft tank only had it since last xmas and most babies survived which is great but now im looking to buy a 4ft to accomadate them all. my problem is do igo for internal filter or external ? any advice would be great. thanks :

Keeping that many guppies may become a problem unless you feed them or sell them as feeders unless they are fancy than sell them as fancies. either way, they are breeding machines

i do agree but i love them all lol

internal filters will not cut it(unlss you mean ugf), they are made for small tanks. you need external power filters or canister filters especially considering your fish population will multipler almost exponetially.

i recommand you take a look at aquaclear series or the marineland's pengiun/emperor power filters. they will work very well and can be bought very cheap from big als. Get 2x filter for your tank size, for example if your tank is 70 gallon, buy 2x aquaclear 70.

Eventually you still need to get rid of some guppies, increasing tank size to accomdate their breeding is a losing battle.

thanks for all your advice i surpose i thought me leaving them in the community tank would keep the levels low but obvously not lol

if i was u. you may aswell seperate the guppies male/female unless you have some other way to sell/give them away
