I have a outside power filter for my 5 gallon tank and having some problems. The current the filter makes is pretty strong so it pushes my betta and corydoras all over the place. Is there a way to reduce the flowing power of the water? Thanks.

I have tried two things with varying success. Put a sponge over the intake tube (the more dense the better) that will help stem the flow of water into the filter and/or put a screen in front of the outflow to break up the current coming into the tank. Others heere may have alternate ideas but these have worked in the past for me. HTH :)

Thanks for the advice. Do you think they sell screens in the LFS or do I have to make my own?

You'll have to make your own. Also most power filters have a flow control knob.
