do ottos eat green algae? if so, how many should i add to my 10-gallon tank?

pretty sure they do :good:

A 10 gallon tank? What, if anything, do you have in there at the moment apart from the Albino Cory? 5 of those equals around 7.5" so at best you could introduce 3 ottos.

5 Albino Cory and 3 Ottos? (IMO not a too interesting set-up :look: )

Ottos do eat it but are more effective against brown algae, iv found bristlenose plecs to be a lot better than otto's , 10g might be a bit small for a bristlenose though.

If it's the green spot algae (hard stuff on the glass), then I don't think there's anything that'll get rid of it apart from a bit of elbow grease (& a credit card to scrape it off).

it boggles my mind that no one ever knows what green algae i'm referring to. surely, someone can identify with the green algae one gets as a result of light and nutrients in the water. you know, the common green algae everyone is bound to have had?

maybe if you were a bit more specific you would get a better answer , virtually every algae is green so how can you possibly expect us to know what type you mean ???
