In my plaet tank i only have 1 otto and 1 albino rainbow shark. Since adding them to my new tank 2 weeks ago, they have both become very fat. The otto has become really really fat (about 3/4cm wide). What should i do? The shark only really eats some pellets daily and some of an algae wafer (put in for cories, 1 wafer every 2-3 days) and the otto only eats algae of the plants.
Im worried that they will both die? The shark isnt really fat but a lot fatter than what it was when it was in the old tank.

Thanks

Will

is the oto still swimming around normally and eating? It might just have eaten a lot. However, it could be an internal problem and there in't much you can do for that.
Just make sure the water quality is good and the gravel clean.

Ive now noticed that my otto has red patches around its 'rear end' and a little above its'rear end' around the sides. What can be done to help this?

Thanks

Will

it could be hair worms. need a pic to be certain. Otherwise a bacterial infection.

Is it possible to load a pic up.
Signs of internal parasites are long stringy white poo, clear mucas poo, or red poo, can even look like mince meat with red and white bits.
Being thin or bloated,.
Red inflamed anus to enlarged anus.
