Any one else keep these?

I have one that is 10", in my 180gallon tank with a Scarlet Plec (L025) and 2 small Giraffe Catfish.

I know that this fish will grow up to about 22" long but for now I am looking for interesting ideas for suitable tankmates as my tank is quite empty at the moment.

I have seen these kept in public aquariums, with many larger species of peaceful to semi-peaceful fish. Including: stingrays, arrowanas, larger species of barbs (Tinfoil, etc.), and also each other. They are pretty docile, so as long as you have the room they are fine to be with many other larger species of fish.

[Giant Gourami]

I have a 19 inch pink Giant Gourami (see my avatar) in a 600 L tank with 3 silver sharks, 4 tinfoil barbs, 2 convicts. But my guy is 4 and half years old so has calmed down a bit and only occasionally tries to "taste" the sharks, normally just after I turn the lights off. They tend to be aggressive when they are younger, but become placid and docile when they are full grown.

So I would definitely recommend:

Silver (Bala) Sharks
Tinfoil Barbs
