I have a tiger oscar that is homed with 2 golden sevs. that ar about 2x it's size. On some other websites I have read that you aren't supposed to keep them together because oscars are more aggresive.

What do you think? Mine seem fine but I might have to move the oscar when it get much bigger if I am gonna have problems.

You might be lucky, it really depends on the temperment of your Oscar when he gets bigger.
My O will tolerate other O's, but he hates Sev's. I've tried baby ones, medium sized ones... even my biggest one got a beating. :S

Just keep ya eye on them... They can be kept together but under Adult Supervision.

I would rate O's and sevs at about the same temperament with sevs just being a little more aggressive IMO.They usually make good companions.

thats right, sevs can be EVIL. and oscars can be big babys, it depends on the individuel fish, if i wer you, id keep an eye on them and seperate if too much aggression ( more than normal for cichlids ) is shown.

correct me if i'm wrong but won't sev's be aggressive if they have a companion, well that's what i've heard. just checking my info.

:good:

i've had my oscar and my severums for about a year now, and so far they don't even bother each other unless theres food in the tank, then the oscar muscles them out of the way

not sure how it'll develop as the years go on, but so far i haven't had problems

i got them all at the same time though, so that could be part of it, the fact that they all grew together

OK thanks for the info so far. They are kept in a 100 UK gal tank, I will make sure to watch them closely.
