Oscar Tank Mates!

Wow, How does that work for you during the winter wont it get too cold and in the summer it will get too hot??? How many oscars are you housing in the pond?

I think the pond must be located in like Florida or something... Jack dempsys, Red devils, Plecos, and other large south amarican cichlids may be compatible with the lil oscars... Well they might not be little any more so I would watch out on what size fish you add in there....

Your quite right, the pond is located in florida, and the lowest i have ever seen the water here is 69, and the highest was like 90, but that wasnt under shade.

 pooond....

can you give me the dimentions of it so i can dream of stocking it? :p

also depending on depth as well I would hazard to guess about 4 ft. a couple pacus could go in there as well as the aformentioned RDs perhaps some midas ( both of which I understand are in the florida canals and are becoming raither popular game fish) JDs would be alright the important thing to remember is to put alot of stuff in the bottom of the pond so that all your fish can hide. . with the size of the pond short of a Dovii or umbee, aggression isn't going to be that big of a problem. for a better idea of a big cichlid pond with TONS of fish visit: aquamojo.com mojo has a cichlid pond in his house and the combination of fish in there is UNREAL.

the dementions are going to be about 12 feet long, 6 feet wide, and about 2 feet deep. in inches that is 144"x72"x24"
