Right my water conditions are perf now for keeping oscars i did have an algea problem which has been solved now

Some of there scales are going white is this fin rot or hole in the head and how do i solve the problem??

Any help will be greatly appricated

Definitely not fin rot or HITH (unless its white fuzz coming out of holes around his head) both disease are pretty self explanatory about what they are. Fin rot would be the rotting away of the fins, which is actually bacterial, not fungal.

I would guess it's columnaris or something of the sort. Sounds fungal, but if it's columnaris it will be bacterial. Check with Wilder in the emergencies section of the forum before treatment.

You will probably need to put the fish on an antibiotic , or copper sulfate. If it turn out to be a fungus, Furan would do the trick.

Is the area white and fluffy or just white /cream and smooth (not sticking out)?
If it's white and fluffy then it is fungus. If it's smooth along the body then it could be excess mucous. A picture would definitely help.
Also how often do you do water changes and how much do you change? And do you do gravel cleans each time you do a water change?

Fluffy does not always mean fungus, in the case of Columnaris, for example.

But as Colin stated, it is good to know more information.

water stats?
tank size?
tank mates?
water change routine?
tank temp?
