Maybe you should do some reaserch on the fish you want before posting questions that could go on for ever if you don't get the answers you are looking for.

There are hundreds of different plecs by the way so maybe you should ask in the approprite forum where you will get more help.

i have taken the advice that is why i am asking what can go in & asking if a parrot fish & a common plec would be ok toghter

Common Plecos need a MINIMUM of a 150 gallon tank for them to grow to thier full potential

Here I believe you were told the tank was too small for a common plec. You really need to listen to the advice given as it is in the best interests of your fish.

i know i can not offer a 150 but i think 50 would be better than 23 do you not think so
so can them live toghter or not

It is not a case of which is better, unless you can get a tank three times as big you will need to find another home for the plec. I think that a parrot fish would be alright in a fifty gallon maybe even a pair of them . However I know nothing about such fish.

Plecs are peacful and if this was a temoprary home till you found it some where else I think it should work. HOWEVER you must understand that to give this animal a good quality of life it needs a bigger tank.

By keeping a common plec in a 23 gallon or even 50 gallon you are torturing it by stunting its growth, ultimatly killing it for no damn reason early on in life

Just take it back to the shop. or give it to someone with a bigger tank. for the sake of the fish

the parrot cichlid is a hybrid of what is belived to be a cross between a severum and a red devil. requires a 50 gallon tank, can potentially grow 12" but more commonly 8".

A parrot fish would most likely be ok in there, yes
If you were to go with jellybean parrots (blood parrot X pink convict) you could have a pair, but it would have to be a PAIR, not just two fish
As for the pleco, rehome it and get a smaller species, like a bulldog/rubbernose plec or a bristlenose.
