Hmm I'm not sure how it happened (I'm assuming he jumped up and bumped his head on the lid of the tank) but my oscar has an owie on his head. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it, and I'm sure it looks worse than it is (little flap of skin hanging off) but is there anything I should do? Anything I can put in there to make it heal faster? Again I don't think it's bothering him, he's being his usual happy self.. I'm just a concerned mommy :)

Also is that a common thing? What can I do so he doesn't bump himself again? I know oscars like jumping but I don't want him to get hurt. Will he just learn not to jump so high? Heh. Thanks :)

As long as the fish is healthy & the water parameters are good, he should heal just fine. A little melafix won't hurt either.

You can try lowering the water level a little, giving a little more air space between the surface & the top. I have some hefty pieces of slate on the tops of my oscar's tank. I don't think they ever learn, I come home to water on the floor on a regular basis. The slate keeps the fish & some of the water in the tank.
