Oscar getting bullied

My oscar gets bullied by my red blood parrot fish? Is this normal? They are both about the same size at 3 inch? He hasnt hurt him at all yet. Im just confused because every1 says that it should be the other way around.

BP's can be nasty, dont believe all you read saying how placid they are, they are a cichlid hybrid and as such can be really mean.

However, having said that, it would be good to know the tank size they are in, how long its been set up, water parameters for ammonia and nitrIte specifically, to rule out any of those as a problem which isnt helping with the aggression problem.

i agree with you 100% a customer of mine currently lost his oscar to his Bp,
I did tell him to separate them when he told me his stocking list (oscar was juvi).
Ignorance affects the poor fish more

agreed,another member on here had the same situation once, cichlids are very hard to keep together, alot of it is due to tank size,
what size tank do you have L/W/D?
