Oscar Food

hello i've got crushed coral rock and had java fern. all the java fern died off as my lighting was rank (now know what lighting does and how it helps) problem is i'm left with snails. the tank is 42x15x18 and i could count to way over 50 snails at any one time. i don't really like killing anything but keep getting them out of the tank only for more to appear within hours. but my question is once i've collected them up would it be a good idea to fed them to my mums oscars? seems pointless them going in the bin if i could put them to some good use. thanks.

I can pretty much guarantee that the oscars would eat the snails. Only thing is, that would be more like a light snack or teaser to an oscar lol

but it really wouldn't harm them in anyway? she's got a tinfoil n bala shark in there. if i tried it n something happened i'd be oscar food too. lol

Nope wouldn't hurt the Oscar or her other fish. If you're worried they might choke, just crush them before feeding them off.

I crush snails and feed em to my fish all the time. THey LOVE it!!
