Was the first time he's done it. He's only about 5" at the moment but I'll still be keeping my fingers out of the tank!

I've gotten a couple nips from Oden while I was trying to feed him some cocktail shrimp. It scared me more than hurt me, but I now disperse the shrimp off the end of a toothpick!

ha ha yup they'll do that. Ian's favourite 'trick' with visitors who show an interest is to get them to hand feed him. he'll normally try and have a nibble on them

Gotta love Oscars, the big dumb brutes they are.... They don't care that your finger is attached to a much large body. They just see a little pink worm wiggling in the tank and just try to swallow as much of it as they possibly can. Their Motto....

"Bite first, ask questions later"

my red devil bites me when i try to gravel vac under his cave. i think he learned that biting the vac doesn't work so he goes straight for the hand

It definitely made me jump. I'm also a bit cautious because I've seen him jumping half way out the water when the lid is down and I'm not even near the tank.
