Oscar And Parrot Fish Eggs Again?

you gotta get some to hatch then sell them as a new species! usually the more times they spawn the more likley the fish are to raise the fry correctly so lets keep hoping!

I wish they would get better at parenting.

She was very good about protecting them for about 2 days and then the Oscar kept trying to eat them, I also have a catfish in my tank so I am pretty sure he contributed to eating some of the eggs as well as the other tank mates.

Then when there was about 20 or so eggs left she started pecking at them.

lol, better luck next time, if they did hatch, they would look really good i think, new breed oscarrot cichlid lmao .

if it can be done, why isn't there any info on breeding these fish, if there is i have never come acroos it
i would say, next time they lay, and the eggs are brown/tan in color, i would sepparate the eggs into a sepperate tank and keep a close eye on them, maybe move the parrot with the eggs if shes protective of them.
