I have noticed that some of my silk plants in my 30 gallon have fading paint. I think my BN Pleco is literally sucking it off. I also see this on a ornament vase I have in there.

In my 75 gallon tank, my Severum tugs at some of the plants and I see some fraying , threads, in some leaves.

Is this somthing to be concerned about ?

I am constantly changing the decor and it's breaking my wallet :(

just got a few bristlenose plecs and i think they're literally sucking the paint off my polyresin ornament.

As long as the ornament is for an aquarium it should be fine. However, most ornaments are made in China and they use a few lead based paints, so long term it might cause problems if the fish continue to eat it.
Material plants usually have a dye rather than a paint and this would be less likely to have lead in. It’s probably not much better tho. Have you tried live plants instead of artificial?
