I am working on an orinoco biotope style tank, and was wondering if there were other dwarf cichlids besides rams native to the Orinoco. I'm cycling up a 29 gallon, heavy on driftwood (lots of vertical orintation) and plants for it, and it will be community with Cardianal Tetra's, an Angel and a clown Pleco. any thoughts?

Only ones I can find are Rams and Keyholes (if you count them as dwarf).
Have a look here to see if ive missed anything out.

Ok, this is all of the dwarf cichlids the aquarium atlas index says live in the Orrinoco:
Apistogramma hongsloi
A few unidentified Apisto sp. inclding a stunner being sold as a Broad band dwarf cichlid.
Biotodoma wavrini (bit big at 15cm)
Crenicara filamentosa
Guianacara sp. 'Orinoco' (again, maby a bit big at 16cm)
Mensonauta insigis (15cm)
Altum angelfish only come from the Orinoco apparently.
Most of the fish are very hard to get, but you never know.

Good luck!
