I have an Orange Pike Cichlid, probably about 8-9 inches in length. I've had him since he was about 2 in in length. Over the past couple months he has developed large gray patches under his eyes and similar patches forming a line on both sides of his tail [from the "dot" forward about an inch or so].

Almost looks like scaleless flesh.

Otherwise he seems like a pretty healthy fish... he feeds mainly on feeders an assorted frozen food [such as Bloodworms, Krill, and black worms]

He resides with a Manganese Cichlid, two Cetopsis Coecutiens, and a Blue lobster.

Not sure if this is some kind of disease... any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

well the first thing that I would do for this fish is to try and isolate it from the other fish, ideally, a seperate tank, secondly I would give it a dosing of melafix for a bit. and see if some time away from her tank mates helps heal her up good.
