I'll be retiring in just days, I've been working 6 long days a week, for the last 2 months to finish everything up... so I'm way behind on personal stuff around the house, and farm, but should have enough to keep me busy until spring, then a much more leisurely life style planned when the weather is nice... despite my current activity level, and the resulting less than I'd like to do tank maintenance, my tanks are running awesome, and nearly everything I'm trying, has been working out... we plan on light camping, just a couple days a at a time, with still having the aquariums and farm animals... I'm buying Mrs. and I electric bikes ( hers, actually a 3 wheeler ) only because we can use them on the state park trail systems... I've nearly completed a camping / toy hauler trailer I've been building, in my spare time, which lately has been non existent the last couple months, but there's very little left to do on it... I may even find time to do some fishing this next year...we can go a couple days during the week, if we are avoiding the crowds, or on the weekends if we're being social... this added "me" time, will make time for one of my house projects, to finish the area where I want to install the 250 gallon aquarium, that has been taking up a whole cars space in the garage... a super big plus... church life is going well, and is likely the reason I made it through this last couple months without killing something ( including myself )... I'm just super optimistic about this next year... how about you???

Another joining the ranks of the retired ! Good for you Man . I think I’m hitting my stride with being retired . 2025 was a bad year for me with my wife passing away ten months ago today and the dog attack in July on myself that left me with the broken wrist . Things just have to get better and those two events in my life proved to me that I can get through things . I’ll be seventy in ten days too so my seventh decade here on the earth should bring me new experiences and I’ll keep going until I join Elaine on the other side . I’m looking forward to having a good garden this next summer . The best part of being retired is being able to do the things you want to more than the things you have to .

My heart is a ticking time bomb. So I am grateful for each day that passes and I’m still here. I have already outlived all my male relatives with our hereditary heart disorder. I like even numbered years. So I look forward to 2026.

You will be retiring and I will be jumping into the workforce. I guess thats how it works.
I'll be graduating with a bachelors in accounting with a pre-law minor early next year. 4.0 GPA. Pretty proud of that.
I will then find a job as a legal assistant at a law firm. After two years working in said law firm, I will go to law school. Likely once I turn 23 or so.

I think Star Trek’s Data would make an excellent lawyer. There is nothing like a positronic mind.

He can use a second AI program to do the proofreading lol.

I start a new job on 5th Jan, and am going to be continuing with my doctorate, hopefully start some data collection by the end of the year! No tank related plans though haha
