hi all,
while at my local lfs i noticed this rather ugly but fascinating fish, when i enquired about it i found that it had been there a while and decided to give him a good home.
i usually research any fish i intend buying before i purchase it but my heart ruled my head on this occasion.
i have a 5ft, 90 gallon tank with plenty of room.
however i have been having real problems finding even basic info on these fish, it was labelled as a golden gudgeon in the lfs and it took me the best part of an hour finding out the common and latin name.
im just wondering if anyone has kept these and if so what habitat, diet ect.. best suits them.
ive also got to get my act together and learn how to take a decent fish photo lol, in the mean time i have a couple of decent photos for you to checkout( and hopefully confirm the fishes identity), i have added an out of focus shot just to give a true colour of it as the flash makes it look grey rather than golden.
