Opaline Gourami Gender

Is there anyway to tell the difference between male and female opaline gouramis?

That's an easy one, here's a picture of my Opaline female. Notice the body shape & especially the short rounded dorsal fin:

That would be the easiest way. You could just post up a pic of each of yours on this thread.

We should be able to tell if they're mature enough, even if the pics are blurry.

Both female! The fact that the top dorsal fin is rounded is a sure sign combined with the fatter body. A male's dorsal is pointed & should reach back as far as the base of the tail fin at least.

In Opalines (AKA... Blue or 3 spot Gouramies) the male/female difference in the dorsals are very pronounced.... no mistaking as specified above.... you have 2 females.....

I wanted to add that it's a good thing to have 2 females rather than 2 males because males would more than likely fight, depending on the size of the tank you keep tham in.
