 Went into World of Water in Timperley on Saturday afternoon after spending the day at Cadbury's World (much chocolate had by all!!!). I'd previously checked on the website and there was a price difference of about £70, with a more "advanced" filter listed on their website than in their store. I took the print out along to see if they had to match the price and details advertised, and they did!

Tho... we peeked a little earlier than planned as we weren't really planning to buy one that day but just ask some questions but as we drew this error on their website to their attention we were left with no option but to buy at the lower price there and then!

Unfortunately once we'd gotten the tank back home we notice that the cabinet had been dropped at some point and had been smashed... To add insult to injury we also notice that the filter that came with the setup, a Aqua One Aquis Advance 1050, only filtered up to 200litres... Also the Aqua One 200w heater was also for a 200litre tank too...

The following day we too the cabinet, filter and heater back to exchange (and in the case of the filter and heater to pay the difference). Another travesty befell us! They had sold out of cabinets... We had to either wait till Wednesday or take the display stand... After a quick examination it was decided the stand was suitable, but for all the hassel they gave we a Fluval 405 (400litres worth of filtration) and an Interpet 300w heater for not extra change! That was an overall saving off £100! :good:

I now have to decide what to put in it (after playing with a fishless cycle)!! :hyper:

Any suggestions?

These things happen. Buy the Mrs some flowers and everything will be fine ;)

Well then, even better! Spend the flower money on some fish instead. Much better use of resources! :good:

It's amazing how we managed to justify these purchases to ourselve... I could do with some new work shoes, but I don't want to spend the money on them, but I'll happily fork out for a 240litre fish tank!

I just need to get down to B&Q to swap the Hozelock Round Mixer Tap connector for a Hozelock Multi Tap Connector as my mixer tap is... ahum... square. Then I can start filling up the new tank in ernest! I've stuck abou 6 buckets in so far to give it a rinse and it's hardly made a dent! :S

 ......Mts strikes again!!!!

Must be catching too..... Somehow [ ] I was looking on Ebay last night and my finger must of slipped onto the 'Place a Bid' button  ..... and I bought a 4' tank with loads and loads of equipment.... For £30 :hyper:

Just got figure out where to put it and what to put in it.....Oh and explain myself to the kids!!!!! I've gone from one tank to five in around 3 months!

Good luck with your new little project....any stocking ideas yet?

Lisa x

Lisa - Not really... The misses really likes Angelfish so I reckon we'll have a couple of them for sure. The tank is nice and deep so it should be perfect for them. Not sure whether to go for lots of little fish or just a few BIG fish!

I was even thing of moving the fishies over from the Jewul over to the new one and re do that one too... I think I'll have to have a chat with the misses I think.

WD - Cheers m8! Look out for my Fishless Cycle journal! (If I can be bothered to keep one). I'm a little nervous about the pH in a fishless cycle as it low enough from the tap as it is...

Oh heck don't start me off again, I've just reduced from 12 tanks to 9 but keep looking at the empty ones and thinking what fish I could put in them.

Oooh 240L ....... now let me think....... how about an American cichlid set up? Angel fish, sajicas, rainbow cichlids, a couple of gold sevs, then a few dear little corys and perhaps a bristlenose plec to clear up.......... the list could be endless!

Just enjoy! You could always take up knitting and make yourself new shoes which would leave even more pennies fore fish :hyper:
