Oops I Bought Another Tank....

If the pictures don't do it justice it must look AMAZING in 'real-life' :)

 now why cant i find a man that accidently buys a new tank
looks great, but that plant as someone quite rightly said isnt aquatic and will rot, better planting it and putting in on the windowsill, its a dracnea or something like that, :)

Ok, non aquatic plant removed and replaced with a lilly :D
Also moved it cos it was a little to loud in the bedroom at night.

Thanks again guys for the advise

Go for the Dwarf Chiclids, they stay small, have character and if the water is perfect and setup etc they may breed!!

i dont think they are nearly as aggressive as the bigger chiclids but do when spawning and raising the young, go for a pair of rams, a pair of krebs and a pair of fairy chiclids. :good:

Just took my second of the two out tonight, only one leaf left on it. I also read on here someone said that if the plant has white in the leaves then when it does rot it leaches loads of ammonia. I'm now wondering if that is where the ammonia spike I've been having recently may have come from...

HAHA!!! its ready!!!
I can now get some fishies!!! :D

Got a quick question... i will need to get the fish in as soon as i can but if i can do it until sunday is it going to be ok for me to just keep adding the ammonia until i can?

Cheers all

hi all

Something is a little messed up and i need you help..... for the last month ive been doing a fishless cycle and its all been going to plan.

Ammonia was put in, it went off the chart
then nitrites went off the chart,
nitrates were off the chart as well
ammonia started dropping to 0 so put more in to keep the bacteria going,
and then the other day the nitrites went down to 0

So far so good, i was planning to get some fish tomorrow after i did a water change but having checked the ammonia, nitrites and nitrates ammonia is now 8+ nitrite is 0 and nitrates are 0.

This doesnt seem right.... can anyone give me a clue to whats going on??

Thanks
