Just ventured into the world of online fish shopping! To be honest I didnt know it exsisted lol  Anyone else tried it? Or should we all just stick to the traditional method of visiting the local fish store?

Lots of people order fish online, either directly, or through bidding on ebay like sites.

My personal preference is to buy them in store, in person, because then I can see the fish, see the conditions it's living in, and if it gets immediately sick, can be easily returned and replaced. Also, with fish that vary in color, I prefer to pick the fish whose marking I enjoy most - oftentimes, online, you don't know exactly what you're getting until you get the package.

I agree, I like buying mine from in store, although if I had no other choice I guess I'd buy it online.

Very true, nothing like seeing the fish in person. I have just ordered some clown loaches from the website as they are quite hard to get a hold of here in a good condition, usually i go into the pet shop and they have white spot, which I am hoping they will be ok when I get them tomorrow. They are expensive here as well 7 quid per fish for 4cm long ones!!
