Discus arrived less than a week ago, and i have eggs! Shame the lights are out, so photos are difficult, but they are laying eggs on some bogwood.

Never seen anything like this before, its amazing!

I'm a happy daddy....well, almost daddy! haha. But in this tank, i am sure they will get eaten up! I have a breeding tank now, so after they settle in this tank, i may move them and see if i can get some babies

Here is a better photo of the spawn

I dont think i will get any fry though! In an aquarium with 50 cardinals, 4 rams, 4 corys, 5 ottos and 4 other discus, i have a feeling the spawn will be lost?!

The male is an albino yellow crystal and the female is an albino snake skin....not that i know that though, just had to read it off an email haha

Congratulations Rorie, fingers crossed for some to survive. Don't really know alot about Discus but it is definately a fish that i would love to keep in the future.

no idea how strong the eggs are but with corydoras you can just roll them onto your thumb. Could try that with a few of these and put them in a breeding net in the same tank, see if they hatch out.

I have similar coloured discus that were breeding constantly a while back, however since the move they havent laid anymore, hopefully they'll get back to old habits soon enough
