OMG OMG They're nearly here I get them in, like, 2 days OMG!!!!

Stuff it, I'm hopeless lol....
The DT HMPK pair I got in from Thailand has cleared quarantine and they're in the mail. 2 day ship... should be here thurs. That's about 36 hours and I've got my hands on them. Reason enough for temporary psychosis?

I've been doing a big tank shuffle, replacing 1 gal crappy scratched up things (they were only ever temporary) with new 2 gal glass jars. Still not as big as I'd like, but far bigger than anybody else around here uses, especially breeders. I'd planned for 12 x 2 gal jars in the cupboard but I just worked out that I COULD fit in 14.... it would look messy, but I could do it. If I got really desperate.

Speaking of really desperate, there's this cute PK shown up at the LFS in a shipment of females. I did the sensible thing and left him there... but the only reason anybody around here buys PK instead of flashy, double the size VT is because 'the little one' will be 'more comfortable' in some minute deathtrap. The more I think about him the more I want him... what you guys think?

Yes I get very excited just looking at the bettas in the shop. Knowing one day Im getting one. But I would hate to think what I would be like if I had one coming in the post

They're at my nana's place... I can't go and pick them up until 5.30 and it's only 9.15. I'm going to be in freak-out mode all day I swear... it's a good thing they are packed with oxygen. It's a 2 to 3 day ship and they've only been in the bags for 2 days so they should be okay. But I'm still freaking out about them. At least they arrived alive... my grandparents aren't fish people but I think they can tell a live fish from a DOA.
OMG so excited! lol...

I've been cleaning out and prepping tanks for them too.

OMG they're here!

I've unpacked the box (took me half an hour, they were very well packed!) and I've got them acclimatising. The female's 'tank' is a plastic container (because she's too small to stick in the sorority, Touched and Whisper will shred her, they are huge) so maybe no photos of her until she's un-stressed enough to move to a cup for some photos. The boy is in a hex, so he'll be hell to get photos of, but oh well... I will do my best. I'll try and get you some tonight but they might not be so great... I'm expecting him to do a lot of hiding.
I might get some of Thor and Vali while I've got the camera out... they deserve their own thread, I'll make one for them if I get some good shots. They are both rescued VTs, and really looking good with room to move and decent food and water quality.
