I would also be known as an old timer. My first aquarium, a small plastic tank with three small goldfish in it, was a surprise birthday present on my fifth birthday in 1962. When my family moved to a larger house in '67, with a garden, things changed. I acquired an angle iron stand with two 24"x12"x12" tanks in and on it. The goldfish were moved to a pond I dug in the reasonably large garden, and the two tanks were set up with heaters and under gravels. My mother loved angel fish, so the upper tank always had a single angel fish in it, but the rest of the space filled up with cyprinids, barbs and rasboras for the most. A 36"x15"x12" I picked up at a house clearance, and installed it in my bedroom when I was about 15 followed. Richly planted and stocked with rasboras.
