I love that bowl!! I saw one at my local carboot sale last week, i couldnt think how to attach the heater & filter so i left it, sooooo wish i had brought it now ive seen yours!!!

Haha well it's a 3.1 gallon bowl so it's a decent size. He's got a touch of finrot lately but nothing seriouse he's still a happy chappy, he loves exploring the plants and rocks all day.

And good greif no keeping fish is not cheap in the least, you can cut costs by getting things second hand but it always adds up in the end ( MTS usually causes vast money spending )

I wouldn't recomend a bowl to anyone not wanting to spend too much time doing maintinace, they are very high maintinance even with filter and heater but if your not even going to bother with a heater (for people living in england like me) then don't even bother. To put them in the bowl just place them at the back behind some decorations, job done!
