Ok I Am Breaking Down And Adding Co2

I tried the Nutra fin Co2 product when about 2 or 3 years ago and did nothing for me. I should have thought about using a DIY mix. Now i want to go out and buy another one. Your tank looks really good reminds me of mine when I really took care of it.

Thanks, I havn't yet seen the effects of CO2, all the pics shown are before CO2 injection. I just started on sat Nov 11, so we will see how it looks in a couple of months

So it has been 7 days since I added the CO2. I can deffently see the differences, the plants are growing rapidly and all look very lush. I did move one of the Hygrophila difformis to the 55 gal, but I think I am gonna have to move some more. I did notice on the 6th day the bubbles slowing down a lot, but I changed the mixture and everything seems to have gone back to normal

I think today I am gonna move around a coulpe of the stems as to mave more room for new growth.

Most likely in a couple of weeks anyone in the area could get some of this Hygrophila difformis from me.

OMGGGGGGGGGG I tried to move some plants and I got the fever and did a major rescaping. I need to charge up the batteries to the cam and I will take some pics.

Why can't my poxy tank look like that!

All I get are cheeky friggin snails everywhere and everything covered in BGA.

God damn it.

Anyway, less of my depression (comes of living in poxy Britian I guess). What DIY mix are you lot on about? I think I may try CO2 and add more plants to combat BGA.... But the sheer cost of CO2 has always put me off (& no doubt it will just go wrong like everything else  ).

Great tank. Git. :D

You are a gent and because of that you have cheered me up :fun: (not easy).

Thanks mate.

Ok so I rescaped the tank ( now it will be a little harder to tell how much everything has grown since it's all in different places) but I like the overall look of the tank a lot more now and I needed to change some things becuase it was becoming overgrown. I am torn now those since I have 4 stems that are about 16" in length of Hygrophila difformis. Does anyone want some of this?

since I can't get any quality pics up I am gonna put up this video. It might be next weekend before I can borrow the cam again and unless my Nikon s10 shows up before then then I could post some real pics

20 gal budget video

So I got these 2 photos this morning thought I would share................

So, I have an interesting problem. The plants I left in the tank are growing at such a fast rate that they are already to tall for the tank and it has been 10 days since I set it up. If you look in the above pic the plants were all a couple of inches away from the top of the water, at this point they are floating 2 inches on the water. As far as the red stem plant goes I can do a cutting becuase I wanted a thicker bush of that anyway. But the water wisteria is outta control. I moved most of it to my 55 gal but it really isn't working out there, it's to fragile to contend with the fast moving fish in that tank. If anyone has a seggustion for a new plant for this 20 gal let me know and I will see if I can trade for it in the swap section. At this point I have like 8 X 20"-30" plants I would be willing to trade. And considering these grew like 3 " in 4 days I'm sure I will have more...............

So I had to do some more rescapeing as plants have grown so much that it was really taking over the tank. I traded a bunch of my water wisteria for the orangish plant which is in the middle. and cut one of the longer wisteria in half (becuase of such rapid growth.......

oh and we got a Nikon S10 so the pics will be much better now.

Well thats where I am as of today, things are doing really well, I am CO2's biggest fan now. Just look at the last 2 pics and see how much grow has happened. It's AMAZING B)

WOw, the plants are really growing rapidly and healthy. How frequent do you change the CO2 mixture?
