today i went to my lfs and bought a water test kit for £10 and it came with a free tub of king british food. to my dismay it happened to be golfish food as they were packeged together. will gold fish food be okay with my tropicals until i can get some tropical flakes?

too have made that mistake, the only difference i could see on the goldfish food and the tropical food, is the coldwater/goldfish food contains more fat, so is therefore not so healthy for tropicals.
for a short while i would say its ok, one or two feedings worth, but try and get some tropical asap. what ive done now is split the goldfish food and mixed it in with three tubs of tropical food, so they only get a bit, but it didnt go to waste :)

Sundays only a couple of days away - if you're worried just don't feed them. They'll be fine without food over that time.

being 14 its hard for me to get time to go to the lfs as i cant drive. i can catch the bus but the service doesnt run on a saturday, but my mum said she would tae me on sunday. i had a day of school today thus having time to spend a bit more time at the lfs and preening the tanks.

Never knew goldifish food had more fat in it.
Learn something new every day lol.
I have fed goldfish food to tropical with no ill affects.
