OK a guy on a cichlid forum needed to get rid of 2 spare "male" Aequidens -

Aequidens sp. "Goldsaum"
Aequidens latifrons

and as I liked the looks of these I purchased them at a very good price, but they were causing havoc in the tank I wanted to put them in so I moved them into isolation to get used to each other and not terrorise my severum anymore, well things seemed calm enough, plenty of places to hide and they eventually seemed to pick their own corners.

Now about a week later I was doing water changes and saw the pair of them going together from one cave to another cave... strange I thinks... so I check out the cave that they kept going to and see....... WRIGGLERS !!!!

Damn, they ain't 2 males but a latifrons female (99% sure now) and a Goldsaum male, now my problem is that they aren't in a community tank where anyone can eat the fry and unless I am lucky and they screw it up and the fry die naturally I have the painful task of having to euthenise the fry, cause I can't see any shop taking cross breeds
