Office Betta Tank?

I was hoping to get a small betta tank to keep in my office with me.
I don;t have very much space to work with and I don't want to go over the top expensive either.... So I was wondering if anyone has a size suggestion (I'd like to keep it 3 gal or less; I know that's small, and I'm wondering if a betta would actually be okay in a tank that size) 
 
If anyone has advice I'd appreciate it. I would prefer to get some type of kit; but I am not sure what type of filter system would be good enough for the size of tank that it would come with. 
 
If anyone else has an office betta and would like to tell me about them I wouldn't mind

2,5 gallon is the minimum size tank for bettas so 3 gallon is a good option.
Usually filters are not used in that small kind of tank but you need to do a lot of water changes but if you want a filter, I usually tend to buy filters for tanks that are double of the size the tank I have.

What about this? They have other kinds there too.
They have cool design ones. But they cost more. But the tank I linked is 2.5 gallons. And it has a filter and all with it.

If you have the space, I'd recommend the Aqueon mini bow in the 5 gal size. It's not that much larger than the smaller 3 gallon Marineland version (which I've had-very cheaply made) and is built well. I recently purchased a 5 gal Aqueon bowfront and it will fit perfectly in the spot on a desk at work where the previous betta was. 5 gal tanks can be cycled vs the smaller versions that cannot be, just FYI.

Okay, now that I know vaguely the size range that I can go with I'll have to actually measure out how much room on my desk I am willing to allocate to said tank. Anything else I need to think about? I was thinking a gravel bottom with silk plants and some sort of decoration (Hopefully zen,) I know thats way over done with betta's but we'll see. 
 
I found a Tetra brand 3 gal half moon aquarium that has color changing LED's (Built into air stone I believe - so it bubbles too) and comes with the filter. (Not sure it would be ideal for a betta due to height versus surface area of said tank. - but thats why I like it, because it's taller, so it takes up less desk space than a normal tank would)

They also have to hex tanks which are taller. Just find what works for you!
