odd gallon tanks

whay are ther 29 gallon tanks when there can be 30 gallon? y does krislin makes 5.5 gallon tanks when they can make 5?

yea and then u get mixed up with ur meds and crap and dont kno how much of it u need. i mean i could understand if its a diy tank but in companyies

It's more of a function of deminsions. Most tanks are by foot or by fraction of a foot. Also, the width and hieghth of the tanks are pretty standard, ie 13 or 18 inches depending on the type of tank. The volume of the tank is an after thought. But they must be sold by gallonage, because there would be a lot of confusion in the actual size of the tank, ie the only difference between a 55 and 75 gallon tank is the width. The gallonage is approximated from the deminsions from there.
