Odd Behavior

Is this normal. One of my platies has a really wierd habit of getting into one of the masses of plants (fake) and just sits there motionless facing straight downward. When you move the plant to check on her, she darts out at the speed of light and resumes swimming around. I've noticed this before in the past but didn't think nothing of it till yesterday when my wife noticed it also. When she's out and about I can't see any signs of illness or anything of the sorts and all the other fish are fine. Any inputs?

No its not normal, it usually a bacterial infection, can you issolate her, tryed some shelled peas on her as well.
