My Betta fish, Draco, is now in his own 2.5 mini-bow aquarium. I am not so sure if he is semi-tolerant of the strong water current my Tetra Whisper 10 makes, so how would I lessen the current?

Another thing is that he has finrot and I am treating him with Bettafix. There is also a small soft plastic piece of floating Bamboo in it, but I am wondering if I should take that out while treating him.

Hi

Cant help with the whisper, as not familiar with that one.

The bamboo shouldn't affect any meds :good:

I've placed something in front of the water flow to slow current in my Betta tanks. Foam and plexiglass work well...

Do you put the foam where the water is sucked in, or where it comes out?

The Whisper filter creates a waterfall when the water flows out.

I think I have the same tank & filter. 2.5 Mini-Bow by All Glass? Tetra Whisper filter? The pump is adjustable, turn to lowest setting. Fill the water right up to the outlet lip so the water isn't cascading down hard. I stuck extra media inside my filter, a sponge on the front side of the filter cartridge and some ceramic pellets behind it. I also put a large silk plant where the water runs out of the filter to diffuse the flow, and gave my betta a rock cave turned sideways to the "current". He adjusted after a few days.

Okay, so then how and where do you adjust the filter setting on the pump? I never knew that they were adjustable.

They just dont like water fillters, which stress them out and cause other stress related problems. You probably have a similar filter to my tropical tank it is like a permanent tap running!
