Hi Everyone,

this may seem like a tiny little thing that most people would ignore but it's bugging me.

i have recently (6 weeks ago) planted an Echinodorus "Red Flame" as the centre piece of my 40G. it's flourishing and producing deep red and olive green leaves and is a stunning improvement on the Wysteria i had in there before.

However the bigger leaves are rather droopy/buckled. if you look at the pic below the leaves (circled) are not flat but wavey.

is this normal?

i am guessing it may be too much light (in that case tough!!) but no other ideas as to the cause.

can anyone help at all?

Edit: sorry for the HUGE pic, not sure what happened there.

heres the tropica profile

Hi jimbooo,
I have E.Ozelot as a centrepiece in my planted aquaria and it's leaves are slightly ruffled but not as much as yours. The Tropica picture seems to suggest that the leaves are ruffled to a certain degree. If the plant is healthy and growing though then why worry. It will tell you when there is something drastically wrong ( no not verbally) but usually by discolouration of the leaves.
Nice plant though

Looks like iron deficiency.

Only kidding mate

I think it's normal to have some ruffles.

i think i have that base covered  oh well never mind it's not a major problem so i'll leave it be.

by the way gf225 i've gutted my 12G AGAIN. i have too much riccia to fit in the existing setup so back to bare gravel at the moment. :hyper: update soon..

oh yeah didn't even notice that.

see if you can spot daddy snail (trumpet snail)

ok no chance. he's on the edge of the cave roof under the bottom cardinal tetra.
