can you id them and tell me if they would be ok with
5 tiger barbs
5 clown loaches
2 dojo loaches
in a 55 gallon tank...

if they will work i figure ill just keep these ones instead of taking em back and waiting even longer...the dude at the LFS insisted they were kribs so i was almost forced to take em...3 bucks each...thanks for any help...

if they wont work how should i take em back? i dont have bags like they do lol...

Wow - that's a really bad mis-sell, they are P.Lombardoi aka Kenyi and are amongst the most aggressive Mbuna species - not even a close resemblance to Kribs.

They should not be kept with any of your current fish with the possible exception being adult Clown loaches. As with all Mbuna species they are better kept with other Mbuna and are certainly not community fish.

My advice is to return/rehome them asap - sorry. :/

On the bright side - this could be a good excuse to get yourself another 55 gal and setup an Mbuna tank. :hyper:

Definitely kennyis, they can't go with your fish except clown loaches. Take them back to the store or as ferris said get a another 55, But that would be expensive so take them back to the store.

P.S. Slap the guy who sold them to you

Good Grief! That sounds like a really knowledgable staff member!!! You should complain...loudly!

AHAHA  I dont care that they pushed em on me as much as that now i gotta wait more...these kribs better be worth all this mess lol...Thanks for the ID, i just got off work and am about to pay the LFS a visit with my "Kribensis"...lol Thanks again all! :good:

Edit: also fyi, i do know what kribs look like lol, i read about a different "sub breed" i guess, Rock Kribensis, so i assumed these were them...
