I get somewhat upset to the amount of attention that is directed towards Tropical Chit Chat and none of the other Specie topics :shout: . Often times I read posts and think to myself... "Yeah this could definately go here instead of here". So step out of your comfort zone and explore the other specie forums... please. Tropical Chit Chat is wayyy over posted IMO and always remember to do a quick search before posting a question. The pinned topics are always helpful to, especially the Fish Index. And when worst comes to worse you can always talk to a good friend of the Internet... Google. Thanks! :good:

So when you have a question about your Cory, check out the Catfish section, under the Coryadoras Tab. And when you have a question about your German Blue Ram, check out the New World Cichlids section. (Hope you're catching my drift).

And finally, please post your pictures under the Members Picture Section. Even if you are looking for an ID of a fish.

Thanks! - SandMan

:good: Point taken

I agree, however not with the fish ID part as, like you said, too much attention is paid here on tropical chit chat and not enough in the other rooms, therfore probably nobody will ID the fish... also... who cares if people post tank pics here? It's always nice to see peoples hard work come together :D

trust me, if you can't identify it and just asking your LFS doesn't get you an ID, then you're MUCH better off asking in the appropriate section. the people who know the most tend to spend a lot of time in the sections in which they feel most confident, not puttering around in the general chit-chat areas. and posting an ID question in the beginner's section typically gets several conflicting but equally incorrect identifications, especially if the fish in question isn't just dirt-common.

don't worry about getting the section wrong, either. the few topics where I've seen that happen have all been quickly moved to the appropriate subforum.

Well hey it's good to know some people feel the same way. However though people's tank pictures shouldn't be in the Tropical Chit Chat, they should be under the Members Aquariums forum.

the other forums seem more for advice and sorting problems, this is where its jus general chat so theres bound to be more in here.

its the same with every forum. the general chit chats always have the most posts.

Google isn't always reliable when it comes to advice.. I'd much rather trust people here with experience then a website I know nothing about.

I think I've seen maybe 1 picture post in this forum... and I think it was yesterday or today... I don't think its a big deal at all.

I do understand where you're going with people posting specific questions in specific forums, but I don't see a problem with people posting a wide range of topics here.
