normal shrimp behavior?

hello, i just got a bamboo shrimp and it hides a lot and does not like to go near the filter, he just hangs underneath plants and in dark spaces...
is this normal or is it something for concern?
+ when i got him he was gray and green now hes brown and red for some reason

Shrimp are nocturnal and hide during the day. His colour is probably him trying to blend in with the surroundings so he is less conspicuous and less likely to attract a predator.
