Normal behavior for cichlids?

Guessing from looking in one of my fish books.

Yellow is Metriaclima Zebra, otherwise known as Zebra. (a varient of the original Zebra, the original Zebra is light blue with numerous dark blue bands crossing the body.

That or the yellow is a Electric yellow, although I can't see any black on the fins in the photo.

here are some links to various blue and yellow colored fish, have a look and maybe you will see your fish somewhere.

Good luck.

What are the water stats of the tank?

Amonia / Nitrite / Nitrate / pH / KH

The tank is cyclded isn't it?

Well the fish are male and female Pseudotropheus lombardoi.
I read up a lot on them and about keeping cichlids in general and learned that these fish are indeed too big for this tank.
I will give these back to my LFS, but I am definitely going to get myself some Kribensis cichlids after I re-decorate the tank to suit their needs.

Can anyone recommend anything that fits a 96 ltr that will go along with the Kribensis?

By the way, I realize that I've made a mistake and I hope you guys could just understand that I am just very new to all this. Pleae don't be mad at me. :(

I will get test kits for ph/ammonia/nitrite soon and post the results.

Hey, everybody makes mistakes, but you're taking the two biggest steps - getting on here and asking questions, and acknowledging when you've made a mistake and putting it right. So good on you! Kribs are lovely fish, there's lots of information on here and on the net about them, and they are so good to watch when they are courting and having babies (>just became a krib granma again myself<). Enjoy your tank, and keep asking questions, everyone is here to help.

It might be worth having a look at some Pelvicachromis Taeniatus (wild kribs)

Some of the colour forms are stunning and some reckon they are slightly more peaceful than common kribs.
