Nominations For The August 2011 Potm Competition

Nominations for the August 2011 POTM competition starts today and closes on 14th August 2011... Only those photos nominated and seconded in one of the topics qualifies for this thread.

Once your pics placed in any topic are nominated and seconded by other members, you may move the pic over to this thread with a link to the topic where the picture was nominated and the pet's name.... Good luck to all.....

Remember.... The onus is on the OP to move their nominated and seconded photos over to this thread to qualify for entry into the August POTM competition..... I;m sure there are 2 or 3 (at least) already.... so follow up and enter your pets for the monthly competition.

Unfortunately Schottayb..... POTM is slightly more complicated than TOTM and FOTM..... read the rules (Link below) as pinned in the Household pets'section and also the first post of this thread....

This basically says..... You post a pic of your pet in the household pets'section and tell us a little about it..... Then some other member.... (who particularly likes your pet) will nominate your pet for the POTM competition...... Now,..... you sit back and wait for yet another member to second the picture and only then.....you qualify for entry in the POTM competition and you move your pet's picture over to the POTM competition nominations thread.....

I am currently in the process of revising this rule and hope to have it finalised for the September competition..... to allow anyone to just enter their pet without the "red tape" ..... I'm sure that will double (trebble) the number of entries..... I will keep you all updated.

A little about Gizmo my cat... Had him from one of my ex partners when I was 15 years old. His mummy was pure white, daddy was ginger. Gizmo was the only one out of 6 that came out a tabby and fluffy and luckily as I was dateing the persons daughter she let me have first pick .

At the time I lived with my mum and dad and they wouldn't let me have a cat (as they knew they would be looking after him ) so I had to sneak him in and he lived in my bedroom under the bed with his litter tray for a week before they noticed him!! haha, ever since they loved him!

He used to be the playfulist cat ever, but now he wont let you pick him up! But I do love him

I had a picture of him when he was a kitten playing with a ball of string that was twice the size of him and he kept standing on it / falling off. But I can't find it

His name is Bobby, but I call him Bob-Dog He is the best thing in my life and I cherish every moment with him He is obviously a Yorkshire Terrier, 9 years of age this year on September 15th!!

He loves his sleeps, but usually climbs onto the top of the sofa cushions and snores down your ear, but I don't mind! He is really active and loves to play fight, really friendly with other dogs and always gets good comments from other dog walkers!
