What lfs's have you tried? Small buisness/company ones are more likely to take fish off your hands than large ones in general. You can also try the buy/sell section here on the forum .

Tried all the petlands around here just to try em, said nope. Tried aquarium fish in flushing, bobs in woodhaven and glendale and fish town.
Tried the five star on the buy\sell forum here and no bites.
