No Algae

ive had my tank for about 6 months and i have never seen a speck of algae apart from see through slime on my aerator tube but i dont know if thats algea does no algae mean im doing something wrong?

That you don't need to do anything to get rid of it, because most people see it as a nuisance!

cool thanx but i have suspisions that thats going to change when i upgrade to a planted tank and get more exotic species and im not using a light at the moment because its next to a bright window
