yeah thanx guys :grr:
Sorry, but I don't know anything about ponds so I never responded. I'm sure if someone knew your answer they would have replied to help you.

The principles behind ponds are identical to that of fish tanks, but since I've never had a pond, I'm not quite sure about what action you need to take. However, if you follow the link in my sig, my article might give you some useful pointers.

yeah sorry guys/gals i shouldnt have posted that sarcastic comment
im just worried about the fish getting nitrite poisoning

please accept my appologies

macky :-(

That's ok macky1. :D

I never took offense as I know how stressful it can be when waiting for an answer and you're worried about your fish. No need to apologize. :)

I would try water changes, 20% per week, although it's been a while and you've probably resolved the nitrite problem. I don't come to this part of the forum much. Is it a new pond? Maybe you just replaced the filter?

i got over it by using a product called "envirax"
