Hi, I ahve a 20 gallon flat hex with a sick discus and a female krib. The waters nitrite is 1.0! Is there anything that I can do instead of going to the ifs( out of money)? Please help, all comments apprecieated.

i always have this medication called prime by seachem on hand. VERY good, gets rid of chlorine, chloramine, ammonia and detoxifies nitrite and nitrate and provides slime coat. prime medication check it out at this link, always good to have just in case of a water spike. :good:

I cant do a water change because I am treating the tank with Prazi Pro. Also I cant have carbon in and havent had carbon in for weeks bacuase of all the meds. I will get prime on saturday.

I'm not famillar with prazi-pro, but that level of nitrite will kill a discus quicker than fungal infection will.
Have a look at the manufacturers web-site to see what they recommend re: adding more. I would imagine that you should add enough to dose the water you have removed.
If you have mature filter media, get some into the filter of that tank immediately.
