Nitrate Question

What makes nitrates go up and down?

Also, my nitrates is ALWAYS at 10, never changes... that's probably good, just wondering why it never changes.

You're tank must be very clean and you must be doing a lot of water changes. Do you have a planted tank?

Also, you probably feed the right amount and probably don't have a overstocked tank.

I do a small clean at 3-4 days with small vacuum, then a larger clean with vacuum at the end of the weekend. Yes, planted with easy to grow plants since I am lousy with anything that requires more knowledge!

I do worry about stocking only in that my guppies seem to be growing bigger than they are supposed to! LOL
