Nitrate Question

Just done a water test and my nitrate is 5, is it too low or is that ok? Shall I carry on with my water change (20%) as I do it every tuesday? or should I leave it till next week? 29 gallon tank been running since august. Fully stocked!

The rest of the readings are ph 8, nitrite 0 amonia 0, GH 13.

nitrAtes (no3) is ok on planted tanks upto 100ppm
on unplanted tanks upto 40ppm is ok.
either way yours is fine.

right, nitrates are not bad at such low levels
i would keep up regular maintenance though as it will allow you to clean up the bottom from the excess food and poo!

Thankyou wolf and yvex9 I'll do my water change now! All my plants are plastic so I presume below 40 is the one I should be using
