Add peat slugs (or moss) to lower your pH. I did it for my Rams and it worked a treat, it does stain the water slightly though.

Or you could add bogwood, just don't over clean it as the tannings in the wood are what you need.
Or you could opt for livebearers and rainbowfish as they are ideal for a higher pH
Or, like you said, you could just ignore it and see how it goes

Its always best to learn and know how mineral content/hard water & ph affect the tank

I was just saying that my corys breed with ph 8 and hard water,but it doesn't necessarily mean your corys will
