hi all,

has anybody had any experiences,good or bad, with the nitragon filter.i have just bought one from ebay, but it didnt come with instructions so any info will be greatly appreciated,

I have a nitrate filter but it isnt a "nitragon".

On mine you connect it up and let it flow between 1/2 and 1 and 1/2 litres a minutes, after so many 100 of litres i wears out and you run a saltwater solution through it to recharge it.

But the seller not tell you any instructions?

Nitragon is the actual product that absorbs the nitrates. I bought a filter insert, usual teabag style pouch.

It works very well, however as will all these absorbing systems you much stick to a cycle to recharging the nitragon in saltwater. (it releases the nitrates in salt water). If you don't the nitragon will stop abosrbing nitrates and your tank will crash.
