We had a Nitra-Zorb filter in our tank (although any similar type of filter or brand would have been the same) and we found one of our Dwarf Congo Frogs had its foot trapped in the filter's fibres. His foot was completely entwined.
It took us 20 minutes to untangle the fibres from his foot but we are pleased to say, he is OK now.
BUT BE WARNED.
