Good mate. The fry are free swimming today. There is easily more than last time.... what the heck am I gonna do with em all?!

grow some on and ill have a group from you but they need to be a decent size im affraid otherwise they will become lunch for keith or the ornatums

Defo looks like a swop is in the future. Any baby snails yet. and OMG how small are Dwarf Gourami fry. Like little black dots moving about. Water changes and filter clean a nightmare.

The water changes would be a nightmare for you, especially as you do about 4 a day! :p No luck with the snails, just blanks. Lol. Not sure what I am dong wrong with them really. :(

If I had the tank space I would mate, no lie. The tank you have them in looks pretty sweet as well with the black gravel and stones...Keep up the good work. Give me 2 months and you HAVE to have some of my geo young...end of.

Thanks! :) Fancy swapping some geo fry for some?

Lol, yeah I will do mate. They're only in a 90 litre, would like to get them in a 125 at least really, but other fish won't allow me to. They seem happy enough for the time being.

Will try and sort a new picture out of the new young... it sends my eyes funny though looking at them. Lol.

These Rainbows are amazing little fish, I have been looking for a group to get a pair or two out of! good luck on the fry!! they are amazing in there breeding colors!

Hi Cupcake, (sounds like a terrible chat-up line!) welcome to the forum. These are some of the most placid cichlids available, but i kept them on their own whilst spawning so can't tell you what they're like with other fish when breeding. They're fine all of the other times though.

Having my rainbows pairing up and mating about the same time as Minnt has his going, I would have to say even in the community tank, they barely cause any ruckus, they keep the other fish away, but in my 4ft tank, it was quite easy for the other fish to swim around and not cause any trouble. The female would chase other fish away when they came into sight and got within 6-10 inches or so of the fry. but nothing serious, just dart at them, and then go back to tending the babies. Im very happy with them in the community tank, and it looks like mine are doing the mating dance again today, so this will be batch two for me, a little behind minnts second batch. :D :good:
